Electricity generation started of Solar Power

Electricity generation of solar panel

Electricity generation started off as an extension of science. These days, it’s all about vanity and virtue signaling. Not least those millions of shiny solar panels, which we’ve all helped subsidize – to allow our neighbors to bask in their own virtuous glow.

At the theoretical level – when the sun is up and the sky is cloud free – solar panels are generating electricity around 6.5 hours a day (on average). During their most virtuous cycle, they’re dispatching power back into the grid, and reducing their owner’s power bills (attracting feed-in tariffs multiples greater than the value of the electricity itself – initially some states were paying figures in the order of $540 per MWh – coal-fired power costs less than $40).

Those without panels pick up the tab for the subsidies gifted to their neighbors (whether in the form of feed in tariffs or renewable energy certificates), as well as the network costs that allow the virtuous to dispatch when the sun is in the right quarter, and to receive electricity from the grid, when the sky clouds up or the sunsets. Trade In Green are your turnkey provider for the management and trading of renewable and environmental certificates, consultation and approvals of solar power stations, and facilitation and financing of Solar Power Purchase Agreements.
We are incredibly proud of Chattanooga Airport as they take steps to become the first U.S. airport run on 100 percent solar power!

Upon its completion in 2012, our WAC-CHA was the only aviation terminal in the world with a platinum certification from the LEED green building certification program. Can't wait to see how this next step keeps improving Chattanooga!

These homeowners (one of whom is an electrical engineer with Lockheed Martin) thoroughly did their research when planning their solar project. Although they were initially approached by a different solar company that knocked on their door, they ultimately decided to go with Superior Solar due to our highly trained solar designer and the homeowner's confidence in our ability to customize an installation that best fit their needs.

The 8.8kW solar electric system is comprised of 25 S-Energy triple-black panels and was paired with one of the most efficient solar inverts available today, a SolarEdge HD Wave. Although the system was designed to be able to add more panels in the future (we call this "future-proof"), this smart homeowner is already experiencing a positive return on investment!
